SONICA^® AIR CONTENT ANALYZER

Sonica^® Air Content Analyzer measures continuously the entrained air in the paper machine stock. The measurement is based on attenuation and scattering of ultrasound caused by bubbles in the stock. Analyzer is regularly and automatically calibrated using a compression method. Ultrasound and compression methods are used for measuring the entrained air (bubbles). Dissolved air can be measured with expansion method in which the dissolved air is released in vacuum.
